Complementary Home Stain Removal Tips

Remember the earlier a stain receives attention, the better chance for successful removal!

After testing for colorfastness, pour hydrogen peroxide on stain & cover with table salt and let sit for 15-30 minutes. Brush off salt and wash in cold water.
Remove excess chocolate with a butter knife. Rub dish soap or liquid laundry detergent into stain and let sit for at least 5 minutes before laundering.
Blot with cool water. Treat with club soda and/or hydrogen peroxide after testing for colorfastness of fabric.
Try Shout stain remover and scrubbing. Other suggestions include Barbarsol Shaving Cream and liquid laundry detergent worked into stain.
Suggestions are plain aspirin mixed into water soak or Hydrogen Peroxide or pre-soak with laundry detergent or Biz overnight.
1. Dab lipstick stain with vegetable oil and allow the oil to soak in for a short amount of time.
2. Blot the lipstick stain with a clean, white rag.
3. Rinse stained area with warm water.
4. Blot stain using a clean, white rag with rubbing alcohol.
5. Wash the item
Try WD40, Lighter fluid or Goop Hand cleaner followed by soaking in laundry detergent, then launder as usual. Always test for colorfastness.
Use Nature's Miracle (purchased at major pet store chains). Let sit several minutes then launder with Oxi-Clean and your regular detergent.
Add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and about a half cup of baking soda into some water. Soak the sweat stained clothes in the vinegar, baking soda and water until stain disappears. Launder as usual.
